  • 1953 Born in Nyborg, Denmark.

  • 1972-75 Studied music under private tutors, a.o. composer Erik Norby.
     
  • 1973-78 Several compositions (piano, chamber, orchestral and vocal music) performed - at the Young Scandinavian Music Festival, on Radio Denmark, various music societies, etc. Member of the Danish Composers' Society since 1975.

  • 1977 Graduated as a music librarian (Royal Schoool of Library and Information Science, Denmark).
     
  • 1977-84 Employed by Wilhelm Hansen Music Publishers (from 1978 as head of the orchestral department).
     
  • 1984-2003 Post at the Danish Music Information Centre (MIC), from 1994 as Assistant Manager.
     
  • 1984-2013 Member of the executive committee of the Society for the Publication of Danish Music (today called Edition S).
     
  • 1991 Published Rued Langgaard's Compositions. An Annotated List of Works. Odense University Press (561 p.). Supported by the Carlsberg Foundation and The National Board for Research in the Humanities.
     
  • 1992-2002 Expert consultant to Den Store Danske Encyklopædi (Denmark's National Encyclopedia).
     
  • 1993-2000 Editor of the magazine Musical Denmark. 
     
  • 1993 Publishes Rued Langgaard. Biografi. Engstrøm & Sødring Music Publishers. Second edition, revised and enlarged, 2012.
     
  • 1995-96 Editor and author of Rued Langgaard - a Danish Composer... (www.langgaard.dk).
  • 1998- 2003 Member of the editorial board of the Carl Nielsen Edition (Royal Danish Library, Copenhagen).
  • 1998- Board member of the Rued Langgaard Foundation.
     
  • 2000- Establishes 2000 the Rued Langgaard Edition, a critical edition of Langgaard's works. General editor of the edition. Langgaard's opera Antichrist is published with support by the Lundbeck Foundation, and Langgaard's Symphony No. 1 and The Music of the Spheres with support from the Augustinus Foundation. 2016-20 all of Langgaard's songs, organ preludes and piano music and choral music is published in 12 volumes. From 2014 the Langgaard Edition is published by Edition Wilhelm Hansen.
  • 2003-2018 Engaged as music advisor/consultant by the Danish Arts Agency (under the Danish Ministry of Culture), from 2012 by the Danish Agency for Culture and from 2016 by the Agency for Culture and Palaces. Retired at the end of 2018.
